The American Bar Association Joint Committee on Employee Benefits (JCEB) with the IPEBLA Teleconference Committee has assembled an expert panel of speakers who will address the topic, “Foreign Transferees - Outbound, Inbound, Equity and Treaty Issues."

This Teleconference will address issues that arise on Executive postings across borders.


This program is intended for the broad-based U.S. and European community benefits attorney seeking to understand common and unique issues associated with employee transferees, granting of equity compensation and associated treaty issues. The panel is composed of experienced employee benefits attorneys and governmental representatives regularly involved in employee transfer, equity and treaty issues. Topics to be addressed include:

  • Basic issues associated with transfers including granting of past service credits, vesting and distribution issues;
  • Case studies involving employee transfers between the U.S. and the UK;
  • Use of international deferred compensation programs;
  • Unique health and welfare issues associated with international transfers;
  • Interesting/global equity issues to avoid.

Length of teleconference:
