This conference will explore how legal and policy expertise guide pensions and benefits through a rapidly changing global landscape. Taking place in Dublin from 17 to 20 May 2026.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of Dublin, the IPEBLA 20th Biennial Conference will gather global pensions and benefits lawyers and other industry professionals to mark two decades of international exchange. In addition to examining specific current pensions and benefits law issues, this milestone program will examine how appropriate legal frameworks, fiduciary practices, and innovative plan designs can help provide stability in an era of political volatility, economic uncertainty, and regulatory flux. Pensions and benefits lawyers serve as essential navigators, guiding plan sponsors and administrators toward winning outcomes.

Agenda topics include:

  • Global retirement security and jurisdictional spotlights

  • Geopolitical forces and the politicization of pensions

  • Defined benefit surplus: legal, tax, & policy challenges

  • Defined contribution innovations and decumulation strategies

  • Alternative investments and fiduciary governance in a shifting landscape

The 2026 conference will underscore the role of legal and policy expertise as the “compass” directing pensions and benefits through today’s shifting global environment.

Early bird pricing is available until 15 January 2026.
