IPEBLA marked an important milestone this spring with its 20th Biennial Conference, held in Dublin, Ireland, from 17–20 May 2026.

For nearly four decades, the Biennial Conference has brought together pensions and employee benefits lawyers from around the world to exchange ideas, strengthen professional relationships, and discuss the legal and policy developments shaping the industry. Since the inaugural conference in London in 1987, the event has been hosted in 19 countries, reflecting IPEBLA's commitment to fostering international collaboration.

The 2026 conference featured discussions on many of the issues currently shaping the pensions and employee benefits landscape, including global retirement security, the politicization of pensions amid geopolitical uncertainty, DB surplus issues, DC innovation and decumulation strategies, and fiduciary governance in alternative investments.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in Dublin, to our award honorees, and to the incoming 2026-2028 Steering Committee for stepping up to lead IPEBLA into its next chapter.
